Before any student in the Faculty of Health Sciences and Wellness can begin their practical experience, there are pre-placement requirements that must be completed. These Medical and Non-Medical requirements are mandated by government legislation and/or our placement partners, and are in place to protect the safety of the student, individuals, and groups that students interact with in their placements. Failure to ensure that the placement pre-requisites are all completed, prevents the student from beginning their Clinical or Field placement.
There is a $40.00 fee for clearance and a $40.00 fee for required mask fit testing. If you fail to show up to your appointment you will be charged a $20.00 no show fee.
If you book multiple appointments and show up to only one appointment you will be charged a $20.00 fee for no show for the additional appointments that you do not show up for.
