Before Your Placement
Most placements in the Faculty of Health Sciences & Wellness programs require the following before you begin placement:
- Medical Requirements - including immunization records and laboratory blood tests
- Vulnerable Sector Police Record Check - completed through the police service where you live and not through a third party provider
- Standard First Aid Certificate
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate
- Respiratory Mask Fit Certificate
Prior to attending Clinical/Field Placement and depending on your specific program’s Medical Requirements, a student is asked for proof of immunization records and laboratory blood test results proving immunity. Medical requirements are completed to meet the requirement of government legislation, placement agencies, and program. Each program has different immunization requirements; please ensure you have downloaded the correct medical pre-placement form for your program. Medical processing times may fluctuate and take up to 8-12 weeks to complete so please ensure you initiate the process as soon as possible.
